Other days out can include The Milky Way The Big Sheep Dartington Crystal and stunning Exmoor with its wildlife and rugged scenery. RHS Rosemoor Gardens is also spectacular at any time of the year. For those feeling more active The Tarka Trail is within easy reach and is perfect for those wishing to walk or cycle. There are also many wonderful pubs within the area but if venturing out is too much effort just sit back and relax in the lovely garden where only the busy bees from the owners hive need worry about doing any work. This accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double with small flatscreen TV with Freeview and 1 twin. Bathroom: with bath shower cubicle and WC. Lounge: beautifully light and airy room with galleried landing above flatscreen TV/DVD selection of games puzzles and DVDs and woodburner. Kitchen/diner: modern fitted kitchen well-equipped with washer/dryer dishwasher electric cooker fridge freezer and microwave. Outside: enclosed shared ground with lawns selection of games and toys pretty pond and seating. Amenities: parking for 2 cars. Bed linen towels electric central heating welcome pack and wi-fi included. Regret no smoking inside the property. Regret no pets. Additional info : beach equipment can be borrowed from the owners and facilities are available to clean and dry bikes wet-suits etc. Location: sandy beach at Instow 12 miles pub 4 miles and shop 3 miles.

Barnstaple is the main town in North Devon, situated on the River Taw. This town with ancient historic roots, as well as strong Victorian roots to much of its architecture, boasts a fine range of shops and good transport connections with both rail access from Exeter as well as a newly opened Western Bypass which now diverts much of the traffic which once used to work its way through the town centre. Notable points of interest include the Castle, the Pannier Market and the Clock Tower dating back to 1862. An annual attraction is the Barnstaple Fair held every September and of much interest to railway enthusiasts will be the nearby narrow gauge Lynton and Barnstaple Railway which has been re-opened in recent years as a tourist attraction running authentic narrow gauge steam trains.
